Pregnancy Follow-up
The appointment with an Obstetrician-Gynecologist or pre-natal care specialist to check on the condition of the pregnant woman and her growing fetus is known as a pregnancy follow-up.
This usually prescribed by the doctor after a patient’s pregnancy is confirmed, and is performed on a monthly basis. The procedure involves a physical examination of the pregnant patient and monitoring of the fetus’ growth.
These visits play an important role in ensuring that the patient and her baby are safe from risks and complications all throughout the pregnancy.
Childbirth and treatment of infertility (without IVF)
The Doctor may recommend one of several medical therapies that can help couples who are trying to get pregnant.
These therapies often serve as first line and even second line treatments prior to IVF. These medications are typically used to help induce ovulation in patients or to help super ovulate patients to increase the chances for pregnancy in a given cycle.
